——  Student FAQs

Short, careful answers.

Can Pakistani students apply to German universities?

Yes. Many German universities accept applications from Pakistani students. Eligibility depends on your previous qualifications, grades and the programme’s specific requirements. Bachelor’s applicants from Pakistan often need additional steps, such as completed university semesters or a preparatory course. Check the DAAD admission database and each university’s page for details.

Do all programmes require IELTS?

No. Requirements differ. English-taught programmes usually ask for proof of English, such as IELTS or TOEFL, but some universities accept other evidence. German-taught programmes generally require German language certificates instead. Always confirm on the programme’s official page.

How can I find suitable universities?

The DAAD International Programmes database is a good starting point. You can filter by subject, degree, language and intake. We can help you understand the results and compare entry requirements.

What documents might I need?

Commonly requested documents include academic transcripts and degree certificates, language certificates, a CV, a motivation letter and sometimes recommendation letters. Some programmes require a uni-assist evaluation or an APS certificate. The exact list depends on the university and programme.

How much funding should I plan for?

Germany’s student visa process usually requires proof of funds, often through a blocked account. The required amount is set by the German authorities and changes periodically, so always check the current figure with the German Missions in Pakistan. Many public universities charge low or no tuition, but semester fees and living costs still apply.

Can UniBridge guarantee admission or a visa?

No. Admission decisions are made by universities, and visa decisions are made by the German authorities. UniBridge provides information and application guidance only. Anyone who promises guaranteed admission or a visa should be treated with caution.
